I have been mastering for many years at East London Cassettes and Ideal Mastering (both in the Farringdon and later the Holloway Road studios in London). During this time I was involved with a great many recordings; some clients include:
- T-Rex (digital re-mastering)
- BBC Radio1 (digital archiving; John Peel, Janice Long, Bob Harris, & Andy Kershaw sessions)
- Tim Smith (of The Cardiacs)
- Ten Pole Tudor
- Brian Eno
- Acker Bilk
- Jet Harris (of The Shadows)
- Lee Hart (of Bad Company, Foreigner, Fastway)
- DJ Scissorkicks (formerly of Collasped Lung)
- Seafood
- Billy Mahonie
- Org Records
- Household Name Records
- Fortress & Greenhouse Studios
- The Beta Band [Parlophone Records]
- The Tommy Chase Band [Mushroom Records]
I use a PC-based system using Steinberg's highly-regarded WaveLab software, along with a number of plug-ins for EQ, Limiting, Compression and Reverb. Along with a bunch of outboard gear, when required. I, also, use Creamware's TripleDAT system - which is an older radio broadcast system - but produces great results.
